Meet Icons of Hollywood in a Candid Conversation with Host Phylliss Bailey Brooks
You are cordially invited to join us for an exclusive and intimate evening with the iconic Actor Lawrence-Hilton Jacobs. Come be captivated by his journey in Hollywood. Join us for a once in a lifetime opportunity to question the star of The Jacksons: An American Dream Cooley High and The Family Divided up close and personal in an evening filled with memorable storytelling laughter and pure entertainment.
Lawrence became interested in acting and began studying at Al Fann's Theatrical School and then with the Negro Ensemble Company. These two all-black acting companies produce experimental plays in New York City and train promising young black actors in the performing arts. Larry has performed in What the Wine Sellers Buy Welcome Back Kotter Roots The Jacksons: an American Dream and A House Divided just to name a few and this night is sure tol fill your heart with joy.
Lawrence has spent his life time in Hollywood and has incredible stories to tell. Join us for a Q&A after you hear his journey at our Monthly Documentary Series. Learn about your favorite artists television shows and films. Talk about from writing scripts to surviving Hollywood directly with your best-loved iconic figures and alumni of Inner City Cultural Center.
Inner City Cultural Center II Inc. pays tribute to legends past and present on Tuesday nights while documenting the history of Inner City Cultural Center. ICCC is the first Multicultural Performing Arts Institute in the county and the Greatest Multicultural Performing Arts Institute of our Time.

Between the 1960's and the early 1980's most of the Actors of Color you saw on television passed through the doors of Inner City Cultural Center. There was also a beautiful wave of talented Behind-the-Scenes crew that keeps this cities Arts and Cultural running strong to this day...you just don't know their names; but I'm going to tell you in this monthly series as we document OUR HISTORY!
